so I got 3 atno confirms on lotw today.
qso made over the last couple weeks. dxcc 93 confirmed 129 total. once I make dxcc using only LOTW, i'll mail away for the other 30+ entities. having dxcc on lotw will also allow me to use those credits for worked all continents. currently 6 bands confirmed. sweet! and then the solar slump..... =] 'monkey |
I have a goal of 200 in mind, but may have to wait for better propagation years. I'm expecting about 4 new ones confirming soon. I also have some cards to add in the mix. Been working on triple play WAS, need 11 more states CW mode. Trying to get 100 in CW & SSB modes. My CW total should go up soon, I worked a bunch of DX during the weekend contest. Only 2 new ones, the rest were old DX from other modes.
Most of the guys here put my measly numbers to shame. But the fun is the journey itself, right?

I'm in MO and can do most modes/bands if anyone needs a fill somewhere. I never used to 'keep track'. thought I was too cool to 'chase paper' like the old timers. now I'm old and decrepit myself now, it gives me a mission I can read/plan/execute when the honey do list gets short. 'monkey |

It gives me a reason to turn on the radio and stay proficient. Initially, it was WAS and DXCC. This year, my goal was to learn to use a straight key, and to actually make some contacts with it. Not sure what my goal will be for next year. Perhaps another kit of some kind. And while I'm not a hard core QRP guy, maybe shooting for DXCC and WAS on the K2/10 would be fun.
