With the amount of expensive test equipment this guy owns he has to be doing this for laughs but then again he should
know better than to let voltage pass through his heart like that if he is knowledgable.

I dare you to admit it ,   the reason you are dying laughing so hard  is half of these things you have done in your life....

Op   Thank you Sir,      I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

He has a lot of videos and they're all funny. Of course it's staged, but who cares? We've all made those mistakes.

Funny chit.  I am surprised he has not lost an eye or burned down his house.

He must prefer electrocuting himself instead of being with his wife.

I was watching it again early this morning.  My wife came into my office, my laughing and the bleeping had woken her up.

"What's all the beeping?  And you're laughing too loud... I was trying to get some sleep."

   <=== my straight face.

I've been known to be reckless with electricity but this
guy wins the "Sparky" nickname.

Love his videos.
My Grandson, age 10, whom I am teaching basic electronics to, also enjoys these.

Wish the guy was my science teacher.

Let's see. I've zapped by aircraft strobe light systems with voltage at 600-some volts and x amount of joules. Short circuiting a 5/8" wrench across a 24v 60a battery creates pretty sparks but turns your wrench a hot piece of metal which you then burn yourself with. When you think a capacitor is discharged, it isn't. If you smell insulation burning, whatever you're doing is wrong.

Had one of our electricians drop a 7/16 snap on wrench down inside a plant tie over. It is rated at 9600 amps at 48vdc. There was two little bits left of the wrench.

If you're going to smoke some stuff go all the way. No wimpy 110.

True story. The S92 helicopter has for electrical power has two 75kVA, 115V, 400Hz, three-phase AC generators driven by the main rotor transmission. Those dump into two 400A AC to 28V DC converters. There's backup generators and convertors but that's not important here. Even those of us who are very comfortable around electicity give this thing the respect it deserves. Anyhow the very first unit delivered to us had one line of one of those honking generators chafe against a hydraulic line. The hydraulics run at 4000 psi. Arc from the generator perforated the the hydraulic line which then caught the hydraulic fluid on fire. I wasn't there but I was told it looked like a flamethrower.

Of course the pilots being pilots shut down the engines and ran like little girls. The maintenance crew grabbed every fire extinguisher they could find and put the fire out. All done and over in less than 7 minutes, the time it took for the airport fire department to show up. Damage was in the millions of dollars. Aircraft was repaired, flew over 10,000 hours and sold to another operator.

Yeah we can joke about electricity but do give it the respect it deserves. Those of us who play around with boat anchor equipment remember, always have one hand in your back pocket when poking around the guts of the unit.
