Bear with me guys. I know this has been asked to death and I HAVE searched.
Planning my mobile emcomm setup. I'm wanting a dual band but also want the noaa weather broadcast AND shortwave reception (like my vx7r) Do any dual band mobiles also receive shortwave transmissions? Thanks. |

I'm thinking about this, it does pretty much everything for a 2m/70cm

Can't think of any mobiles that have shortwave reception like that HT, except for actual all-mode mobile radios. I can't imagine there is anything on the market that can't receive the NOAA weather broadcasts on 162 MHz.
I would suggest the Kenwood TM-V71 for a good general purpose dual band FM mobile. |
