The answers to a few answers would really help.
How long are the legs of the dipole? Did you do the calculations or buy something pre-made? What kind of connection is there between the dipole legs and the coax. What kind of coax? I'm not familiar at all with that radio / amp. Do you know what impedance they expect at the antenna jack? |

Quoted: Do you have your sheetrock shunt installed in your coax, good buddy? You can use a straight pin in a pinch. ![]() If I were going to go on 11M today, I would do it with a legal CB radio. I worked too hard to get my ham license (exactly 26 years ago TODAY my license was issued) and my GROL with RADAR. They would be yanked in a minute by the FCC for illegal activity. |

There are simpler, and cheaper, ways to heat a room. Thats all he's doing... and the stink of alcohol.
If the op ever sobers up and is not just trolling... Remove the amp, hang the dipole outside as high and clear of other objects as possible. Your contacts will increase and sound stronger. A poor quality amplifier into an inefficient antenna is just a heater and noise generator. You'll see no benefit. |
but that my 11 meter rig...
