So as to not hijack the other post about RV's, I'll create my own.

We just bought a new (to us) RV, a 27' Class C.  I already have a 20/30/40M QRP cw machine (still working on CW) but am wondering what other folks would recommend for additional radios.

I'm thinking about a CB (for on the road comms), a 2m (or 70cm) mobile - because I already have 2m/70cm HTs, and also a (QRP) SSB radio.

One more item, I'll probably be getting a 100W solar system and some LiFePo or LiOn battery(ies)

I'll open the floor for discussion.

Not a radio recommendation, but, I suggest getting one of the small Honda inverter generators.  We have a larger one for our house as a backup to our solar system (we are off the electric grid) and they are quiet and the power is very clean.

We have a 5000w generator already - I'm guessing it's not as clean (or quiet) as the Honda though

I'm thinking something like a TS-480SAT.

While I like the way you think my traveling radio can't be better than my home radio.  And no, I can't swap them

I like the idea of something like an MFJ-9420 because I can do voice and digital, and the radio I was talking about the other day (the BitX) fits that bill pretty well too.
But, if I have to get a full boat radio, the 480 would not make me sad.

Inverter generators are great, they don't have to keep humming along at full speed when the load is low.

TS480 is an easy rig to remote from what I understand, since it doesn't require expensive special cables for the head so you could probably easily rig multiple mounts and cable sets for driving, parked, and outdoor operating.    And they are selling cheaper than ever right now.
