In defense of the forum in general...there *IS* an HT in the mix there. I have...errr...9 HTs now I think. Yup. In honor of Halloween it's a BOO-FANG! I do really enjoy this forum. The people are great, well at least most people, and the opinions and help are always appreciated, well, almost always. |

Lurking is fine. Just don't start posts with "Which", "Looking for", or "I need help picking." Your retirement savings will thank you. Quoted:

So what you're saying is... I should stop lurking in this forum. Lurking is fine. Just don't start posts with "Which", "Looking for", or "I need help picking." Your retirement savings will thank you. I'm pretty good until mid-December, when I take my test. After that... Ugh. I dread thinking about it. |

Hey man, don't try to pin that on us. (It's all AR-Jedi's fault) ^^^ no. i have seen an uptick recently in threads that blame others, so i think the tide is finally turning. plus, people should accept full responsibility for their own actions, no matter how expensive. ar-jedi ps to the original topic.
IMHO a SHTF HT should ALWAYS have an AA battery option. if your current HT does not have a AA holder or some other means to use AA batteries (e.g. external holder), you should consider one that does, or fashion a way to use an external holder. and by "use" i mean full RF output; the VX6R, for example, has a holder for 2 AA's, which basically limits the radio to RX only. |

As an adult, a very old adult, I'm comfortable taking responsibility for my decisions and actions, but did you guys HAVE to introduce me to that drop-dead gorgeous NEEDY blonde?!?!? |

I think I'm on an even 32 now… 1 UV-5R 1 BF-888 12 HT1000s (UHF) 8 HT750s (UHF) 2 F21s 1 FT-270 (my only non-Part 90 radio) 2 F4Gs 1 F3Gs 5 GP300s (VHF) 1 F4021T There may be a few more GP300s in there… I've got a few battery eliminators for HT1000s but I think that is the only thing I have backup power supplies for. |
