I saw this and was on frequency 5m after you posted.   Gone!  or I couldn’t hear him.

Frankly i was having a string of luck,.....bad luck.  I was trying for places I never had before,....Rwanda...couldn’t break the pile up, Pakistan station faded out to where I wouldn’t try the QSO.  Then the guy in Malta that was asking for outside of Europe,...I answer and he shuts me down, “please! only outside of Europe!”  Damn, I don’t even remember the flight!

Then switched to POTA, couldn’t break a pile up into Hawaii.

Ha, taking a break now!

CY0S is now tramitting on 7.088.50 and listening all the way up on 7.222 MHz

Only way to handle a huge pile-up during a contest when everyone is running simplex.

CY0S will be on Sable Island until 3/30, so unless you are participating in the contest there will be ample opportunity to get them during the week. No need to break the contest pile-up.

I believe the opposite. I feel that the contest makes it easier to get them (other than the QRM.) During a contest, most don't want to waste much time calling a station, and they are running all over the bands. Once the contest ends, it's back to the usual pile-ups and 20 KHz spreads on splits.

Another thing to consider is that the entire week before the contest, they only did a tiny amount of SSB, which was on 12M. They're only on SSB a lot right now due to the contest. The big question is: Did they hold back the SSB operations to save them up for the contest, or is it their normal routine to run mostly CW and FT8?

Did you get an RR73 out of them? They had some sort of problem yesterday evening on 10M and only about 1 out of 20 got an RR73, so I won't know until they finally upload to Clublog to see if I made the cut. I read this morning that they have horrible QRM.

By the way, I saw @K0UA work them after me. I wonder if he got an RR73?
