So I have a project and I am trying to find some info on my mic.

Mic audio and ground are easy. Where I am having trouble is the PTT. The KX3 jack has a 4 pole connector. Ring 2 is logic ground and ring 1 is PTT, up, and down. I think it uses resistance differences to see which button is being pressed but I am not sure and can't seem to find anything in the manual.

Any help?

While you are talking about it.  Any good alternatives?  What other mics are you using?  I am thinking of building an adapter box to use a couple other mics with the KX3 but I don't have it fully developed yet.

Don't know if this helps, but the way I read it, when the PTT button is pressed, you are  connecting the PTT/UP/DOWN line directly to ground (ring 2).  That is, ring 1 is directly shorted to ring 2.

I'm sure you have this, but the schematic is here.

From the schematic Kekoa posted this is exactly the case.  10k for up, 4.7k for down.

Awesome! Time to order some connectors. I will report back when finished.
