So I have a project and I am trying to find some info on my mic.
Mic audio and ground are easy. Where I am having trouble is the PTT. The KX3 jack has a 4 pole connector. Ring 2 is logic ground and ring 1 is PTT, up, and down. I think it uses resistance differences to see which button is being pressed but I am not sure and can't seem to find anything in the manual. Any help? |

Don't know if this helps, but the way I read it, when the PTT button is pressed, you are connecting the PTT/UP/DOWN line directly to ground (ring 2). That is, ring 1 is directly shorted to ring 2.
I'm sure you have this, but the schematic is here. |

Any help? From the schematic Kekoa posted this is exactly the case. 10k for up, 4.7k for down. |
