Update:
Based on a qrz thread about using some alcohol on the little PTT switch inside I used electrical contact cleaner on the switch, worked it a few times, spraying and working in various positions and it seems to be working smooth again. Original I just discovered tonight that the click of the finger switch on the Icom HM-133V is not enough. I have to press down with some force. Sometimes pressing the switch differently will and won't do engage the mic. All the other buttons seem to work fine. I opened it up and it seems that it is not necessarily a serviceable part. Thoughts? Thanks |
