| Been a while since I took a test and I'm studying up for Extra in two weeks. Will/Can the test answers be randomized? The testing app I have gives both options. |

Yes its random a random test...so many questions are asked per element.
Learning the material as opposed to just memorizing the answers is the best method for study though.
HamExam.org How this site is different This site learns which questions you understand and which ones you don't. It does this by tracking your answers to every question. It then applies a weight to each question, using the following priorities: 1st priority - questions you haven't seen yet 2nd priority - questions you have previously answered wrong 3rd priority - questions you have answered correctly Using this system, you are guaranteed that you will eventually see all of the questions from a given test. You are more likely to see questions that you need help with again and again until you get them right. I feel this is a great way to see what questions you need to work on. Please note that memorizing the test is no substitute for understanding the material. If you have problems with certain questions, please search out more information on those topics. |

The questions will be randomized, but will the answers? Can "All of the Above" be option A instead of D? QRZ.com tests do that to you but (IIRC) the test has D as 'all of the above'. The nice thing about QRZ's tests is that we are (slightly) forced to learn the answers as opposed to the letter (A/B/C/D). The ARRL study guide lists all the questions and the correct answer; this can serve as the definitive answer to your question. |

At least that's how I do it. But even if the VE only prints 10 tests and uses those same 10 all the time, as far as YOU are concerned, it is random. So study that way. |
