I'm working on the basement. Would it hurt to store some of my radios under the porch. I'ts dry but unheated. Freshly painted with waterproof paint so its really dry. There is a ledge where they kept canned goods so I don't think it ever gets below freezing.
This is both tube and solid state. |

I'd think that would be fine for the Winter. Not sure about many years. Watch for condensation this Spring when the air is moist and the radios are cool.
I bought an Al-811 amp at an estate sale that must have been stored in a barn next to a broken window or something similar. Had water intrusion into the left vent opening and I had to replace a coax piece and one tube socket next to the vent because they were all corroded from water. After a new set of tubes it was good as new! |

Need to go through the storage tubs and throw out or sell the stuff we have not used in years. I just want them out of the way until the holidays. I was going to sell two of them Ft736 and FT840 with a digital cable. |

I don't see a problem. You may want to wrap them up to keep anything out of them. Yes I did that. I do no matter where they are. Wife has storage totes under beds with off season clothes. I agreed to that so I would have a 10X40 storage area without clothes I can get 72- 36 gallon totes in there and have a 10X12 section for me. Since I lived here I have not had a spot in the house of my own. I want to be able to reload with out going out to the 3 car garage\ guest house at the back of the property. I always want to go when it 20 below raining or ice. I get no reloading done because you need to put up antennas then
