The FAQ says they will be sold soon at $299. Kind of pricey but still has a high coolness factor

It is able to make and receive calls though, that is about all it is good for.

Would be cool to see a matching 5w amp Eh, I think we could do a lot better. Monoband 5w PSK transceiver designs abound. Add a raspi with a touch screen and a $2 bluetooth module for external keyboard, small USB sound card, and done. Lots more functionality and I bet it would be cheaper. Want to start a project?
