| I just recently passed the tech exam and I have a Motorola Maxtrac I need programmed. My question is does anyone have the ability to program this radio. Its a 32 channel UHF Maxtrac that currently only has the test frequency programmed from the factory. Thanks in advance. |
| I found the schematics for the cable at batlabs.com but I have no idea on finding the computer necessary to do the job. I had a dos computer as a kid but that's not gonna help me today. I figured someone must have the capability to program these radios. Everyone I talk to has great things to say about this radio but nobody ever mentions programming them. Any help with the matter would be greatly appreciated.. |

Find a local Elmer who has the setup to do the programing. 2. Talk to a local business band 2 way radio shop. Most of them still have the hardware and software to do the programming. They might be willing to do it for a couple of bucks. |
| You can try DOS Box if you already have a cable and software. While it was meant to run old DOS games, I know several people who have run all sorts of older DOS-based programs successfully using this. It can't hurt to try it out, worst that happens is the software doesn't run. |
