Here's one you don't see every day.....Swaziland!
3DA0ET They are on the air, and have a pretty good signal. I just bagged them on 12m CW. Time to get them!! I think this ties my distance record, too. 9300+ miles with 100 watts and a wire in my attic. |

I got a bpsk31 contact with a nice fellow in Australia Saturday morning on 28.120Mhz. That is my longest yet at over 10K miles using my OCF dipole & 30 watts. I get all excited when I see those DX call signs, guess that's why I love it so much.
HS Most of us DXers do. It's a disease. |

Yep, they're in LoTW for me, too. That's pretty darn fast. Work them in the morning, and 3 hours later it's confirmed in LoTW. I like it. Quoted:

I have worked them twice now and both times I am pretty sure they got my call wrong. Ah well, it was still fun learning to do splits on digi with that much separation. It's pretty rare when I fool with digital, but when I do, I'm never sure if I'm doing the split operation correctly. When I try it, I never get through. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if I just can't bust through the pileup. I guess I'll figure it out one day....or maybe not.

That's part of the reason I give a long exchange in a pile up. That way if the timing doesn't match up I know for certain it isn't for me. Quoted:

Yep, as expected, they got the call wrong. ...sigh...back in the hunt. That's part of the reason I give a long exchange in a pile up. That way if the timing doesn't match up I know for certain it isn't for me. 3x callsign plus a follow up when he called CQ after our QSO. 7Mhz tonight and I can't hear them clear. ...sad... Since that first day I got them, I haven't been able to hear them at all. I could almost hear them during the contest yesterday, but trying to work them would have been very optimistic. I'm just glad I was able to get them once. In the log, is in the log |
