Looking at some sites today to figure out what I might want to do to combat this issue. Throwing these here for the heck of it ![]() This video shows exactly like what mine sounds like at certain stages of washing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjjUOwstofc other stuff that might be of interest http://lists.contesting.com/_rfi/2005-09/msg00013.html http://egpreston.com/westinghouseduetrfi.htm http://lists.contesting.com/_rfi/2005-04/msg00004.html http://atnm.mcars.us/HomeBrew/WB4BYQ/CommonModeChokes/ At some point I'll try and tackle this problem. |

Interesting info at the end of this page - http://www.on4ww.be/emi-rfi.html I had some smaller torroids laying around so I made up a small run w/ each of the three wires wrapped on its on choke. That didn't seem to do anything. I then recalled info from the above link and ran a small wire from one of the water valves to the ground of the outlet and could hear some reduction in noise on at least one of the bands. It seems I may have the same issue this person had in which the signal is getting out via the water. More investigation to follow. |
