Lets see. What's showed up in the mail in the last week.

Kit for a nixie clock project. http://www.pvelectronics.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=21&products_id=80 Hopefully the N8-1 tubes should arrive from Moldova in the next couple weeks. Not radio related but high in geek factor.

Various vacuum tubes for the audio amp and receiver projects. The tubes are easy. Air variable capacitors not so much.

Battery monitor project, both through hole and surface mount, that the local club is sponsoring.

Trash canned all those carbon composition resistors in my spare parts stash from the Heathkit era and replaced with new metal film units. Carbon comp resistors of that era are well known to go out of tolerance. Units tend to soak up humidity and resistance goes high. Spot check of my spare parts stash showed 80% were out of tolerance. With new metal film being so cheap it wasn't worth keeping. Online auction where I got replacements.

It's taking a lot of will power to not click the links.

Just click the links

I am really starting to get into pic programming. I still have to finish getting my stuff set back up and make a few changes but I can see a few pic projects down the road.

I really like that nixie clock. It would be cool to have it cycle your call sign too.

Letter tubes are out there but are quite rare.  The vast majority display numbers with a few having a decimal point also.  In scouring the 'net I have found a few tubes that will display a percent sign and/or the ohms sign.
