A friend sent me this link today and it seemed somewhat interesting if not overly ambitious. Not sure if linking to kickstarter is allowed so if not please just delete this post.

I have been following them for a while now. I think they just re did the board so its more modular. They pop up on hak5 every now and then.

I've had my eye on that for a while. I think I'm going to back it.

anyone looked at their schematics yet?  The RF transceiver they have seems to be spec'ed for 2.3 - 2.7GHz.  Maxim must have lowballed the hell out of their chip. Also, the board the show seems to only have 1 SMA jack, yet the schematics show a FDX system with 2 connectors.  Maybe they board they have now just doesnt transmit. ETA NVM I see their frontend circuitry.

Very cool that this is completely USB powered.  Their I/Q processor is specd for 22MSps; not too shabby for a quadrature SDR.  But for the life of me I cant figure out why hed use one that has dual 8bit receive ADC's and dual 10bit DACs.  Seems like you'd rather have a better receiver - Unless hes got some plans for some really kickass pre-adaptive distortion transmitter
