anyone looked at their schematics yet? The RF transceiver they have seems to be spec'ed for 2.3 - 2.7GHz. Maxim must have lowballed the hell out of their chip. Also, the board the show seems to only have 1 SMA jack, yet the schematics show a FDX system with 2 connectors. Maybe they board they have now just doesnt transmit. ETA NVM I see their frontend circuitry.
Very cool that this is completely USB powered. Their I/Q processor is specd for 22MSps; not too shabby for a quadrature SDR. But for the life of me I cant figure out why hed use one that has dual 8bit receive ADC's and dual 10bit DACs. Seems like you'd rather have a better receiver - Unless hes got some plans for some really kickass pre-adaptive distortion transmitter |
