I don't know why, but it really cracked me up to see an argument via JT65 on 15m today.
Ham #1:Turn down pwr Ham #2:70 watts Ham #2:Happy? Ham #1:Which state? <band fades out> <band fades back in> Ham #1:Turn down pwr Ham #2:You too Seeing the dialogue, I have to agree with Ham #2. 70 watts is way too much power on JT65. |

Haven't played around with it on the lower bands enough but scuttlebutt is that it really shines on 40m and down. Using less bandwidth than JT65 theory is that it should be more efficient. Still the same 50 second cycle and limited character exchange. |
