What is the best/easiest way to use headsets with this output to connect to a standard motorola radio with a 2-pin input? or https://cobra.com/detail/mr-hh425li-vp-combination-vhf-gmrs-with-rewind-say-again.cfm or say a Marconi Personal radio? |

Just hang around and wait for the knowledgeable types who have adapted their ham radios to work with H-250 handsets, . |

Thanks, I subscribed.
Ive been doing research for a a week or so now. The local army surplus store was tring to hawk off a bunch of headsets because no one is buying them because they can not be used with standard radios. I figured if i could get them to work with my little arsenal of gmrs/vhf radios id scoop them up suuuppeerr cheap. once again, any help is really appreciated. |

You have to be able to match microphone impedence, voltage, and get the wiring for the Mic/PTT/speaker just right.
On the U229 plugs, here is the normal pin-out: http://cryptomuseum.com/crypto/usa/u229/index.htm Mating that to an FRS/GMRS talkabout with out some type of battery-powered matching interface may be difficult, and certainly not off the shelf compatible. |
