I have been looking at this antenna (Austin 500c) Now that I am in a city area with parking garages and other low objects my 36" guy has to go.

Does anyone have one or know anything about them? Eham gives it good reviews.

I have one, it's working great for me.  Never a problem and it's nice and small.  Here it is mounted:

I have one, it's a great little antenna.  It's not a 48" tall antenna on 2m but seems to do just a little better than standard 1/4 waves on 2m, and does a good job on 440 also.  They do have a "softtop" version with a very flexible top whip, there is some flex at the base of the antenna also (for both versions).

If you are in a situation where your antenna is going to hit stuff all the time, and if 440 performance isn't that critical, Sti-Co makes an extremely flexible nitinol antenna that you can literally tie in a knot.  It's just a plain tunable 1/4 wave though, so would be an unphased 3/4 wave on 440.
