FINALLY, I made some contacts with the FT-817. Bought a Z-817 Autotuner and threw up my Maple Leaf Ez-Tenna. Added a counterpoise and found myself talking to several people on 40 meters, in OH,Va,MD,Delaware. Also had 1 brief contact on 20 meters.
Trust me, there will be less Yuengling Bock in the mornin'.

Congrats! Just wait till you make your first DX contact. Your feet won't touch the ground. 
Just today I was able to make my first contact with a station on Montana. One more State that I can check off on my WAS award. Vulcan94 |
