| Went to a hamfest in Mexico..Indiana that is. Found a Vibroplex Original Deluxe the all chrome with brass nameplate. Got it for the worldly sum of $80.00...Also got a MFJ 259B new with fresh batteries for $200. I think i did good. I also found a brass straight key and I asked the guy "how much" he said " make offer" I said "$15" he said" too high how bout $5?' "Sold" sez me. Also found service manual and other literature for my TS-440. All in all a good day. Now to save up for Dayton...... |

Nice score! If you intend on buying junk stuff at Dayton, take a wagon or small cart. Heavy items are a PITA to carry around. Heavy items usually sell cheap towards the end of the show. Most guys don't want to drag it all home.
BTW, that "bug" may bring good $$$ at Dayton.
