| Hey guys, new to this part of arfcom, and looking through the first 6-7 pages did not see any pic threads. Is it kind of forbidden to show everyone what you have or has it just not been done yet. I am thinking about getting into ham and trying to learn what I can when I can and would like to see yalls setups with some details. If this has been done I apologize. Basically I would like to see pics of home or mobile setups, whatever you have. Thanks in advance. |

Leftmost operating position - the multiplier spot associated with our SO2R setup. IC-751A/R71A, IC-2KL/AT-500. Upper right is an IC-745/AT-100 which is used for local ragchewing, 10M FM simplex. Mid-row left is a Royce 642 SSB/AM CB; to its right are a pair of FT-726Rs. One covers 15/12/10M, 2M and 430-440MHz while the other is equipped with 6M, 2M and 440-450MHz modules. A MURS rig, 220 FM mobile and a couple Pro-2042 scanners round things out. http://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff494/Jboss1496/Ham%20Radio/IMAG0047.jpg Is that a one man station? |

One woman - the multiplier spot my wife occupies when we're contesting - she's also licensed. The SO2R spot (which I'll post pix of later) has a couple TS-940S with R-71As slaved to them - and several R-7000s which are used for VHF/UHF spotting. Eventually the entire shack will be computer controlled, including the THL amps which I'm going to add to the setup later. Wifey is quite proficient at field-stripping, cleaning and reassembling her AR/LR and 1911 goodies but she still hasn't gotten the hang of tuning a tube amp - so I built a 'full auto' position for her to use. Just tune the HF rig to the desired frequency and the amp/tuner combo will track and adjust themselves. |

Is that a 6u case? Thanks |

I love my old Henrys! They are original 2ks, one has the 75m and 80m positions on the bandswitch, the other just the 80m. There is no amp on the desk, which item are you referring to? The lower left radio is an FT-225RD all mode 2 meter rig and to its right is a FT-1000D for HF, above that is my FT-897 back-up radio, a Tokyo Hi-Power HG-2000 tuner, my rotor control box and an YO-301 monitor scope. There are three speakers form the FT-301 series of radios plugged into each rig along with an old Philco vhf-uhf meter and my Astron power supply. http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l260/my65pan/000_0246.jpg BTW, if you run across a Tokyo Hi-Power tuner buy it. It will tune anything!, I added a peak hold circuit and meter lamps and I couldn't be happier. Ok it must be the tuner then. Nice setup for sure. Those amps are beautiful |
haven't seen a pic thread in a while.....
