I'm struggling to figure out how to program this radio using the rumtrolprogram. Does anyone have a csv file they could post so I can see how everything is supposed to be laid out? I tried importing a file from the K5EHX lookup but I couldn't get it to load.

I use Commander 8.6.6 for my 7000's. Works like a charm. http://www.dxlabsuite.com/commander/ ETA: Looks like it's up to version 9.3.5 now.

I did get two programs to work. Ice Comm and IC7000BKT both seem to work. The difference is that I got a new cable. This one uses the ftdi chip and cost $30 bucks from amazon instead of the cheap CI-V adapter from Ebay that I was using before. I think the ebay cable just quit working.
Haven't tried the commander software again yet. Or HRD. I'd seen a recommenadation online saying the CI-V cords with the ftdi chips were better which was why I made the switch. |
