| has been open pretty good today. after a year of being a general and having a radio since feb/march i have finally made an international contact. worked 2 stations in the republic of belarus and one contact to france. all that with 100w and a PAC-12 vertical antenna. going back out to try and work some more. |

One thing I like about both 17 and 15 meters is that both bands seem to be somewhat quieter than 20 meters. Also, I've gotten some of my best DX from those two bands.
