All:
I used to play around alot with CB radios just talking to whomever was available in my trucks.  I removed my 40 channel Uniden a few years ago when I bought a new to me truck.  My question is this;  Is there a way to hook this radio up to a 110 outlet in my home?  I also want to know if I can hook this up to a cigarette lighter hook up for my truck and then use that same in a conversion unit in the home?

This here will do the trick. You need a power supply and this one will accommodate a cig plug.

Yes you need a power supply to run it.

PM me I have a FREE to you Power supply that will run a LEGAL power CB. It needs a power cord and it may or may not work. You would pay me by mail or Paypal 10.70 for a medium flat rate box from the post office.

ETA this also has a cig plug.

Is this something that will be plug and play?  Ie will I be able to get this dog barking as soon as I hook it up to either my truck or home outlet?

cb radio requires a good antenna in the home as well..  I suggest you look up some home antennas for 11 meters  at copper electronics or ebay..

you cant just stick a mag mount antenna on your gutter and expect it to work..

You need a power supply but not that much amperage for a legal CB.  5 amp would be plenty, probably even a 3 amp would suffice.

Another way is a lawn and garden battery and a trickle charger, this allows use through power outages.  At legal power you would have a very decent run time even with such a small battery.

I just fixed the cord on the power supply. If you want it have the USPS send me a medium prepaid box with your address. I just fired up the power supply and it makes plenty of power for a legal limit CB.

You will need a base antenna. This is the Gold Standard for CB base antennas, I am told.

ETA: This power supply has a cigarette outlet so the CB rig would move out of the house into a truck with little effort.
