| I got the chance to buy a TS2000 for $1200. Should I pull the trigger? It's a year old and very lightly used. I know the guy who has it, and know it works. He is selling out. |

The TS-2000 is one of the radios I was seriously considering, but I got a very nice deal on a Ten-Tec Jupiter.
I know that Kenwood guys love their radios. They get a lot of respect, and few complaints. Sounds like a good price to me. It sells new for about $1450.00 - $1500.00. I would remind the guy that you can get one new for $1450.00 (Ham Radio Outlet price) and offer him $1100.00 (25% off the new price). |

He has a nice Kenwood desk mike, and I was going to offer him 1200 cash for both. What's the worst he could say. No. The Kenwood desk mic is $174 new at Gigaparts so that seems like a fair offer for both. There's one on ebay right now, that is at 1180, and then there's shipping involved. Plus I don't know the guy on ebay. I probably wouldn't buy something like that off eBay. There's a guy on the IC-7000 list that just got scammed. |
