[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Upgrading to general

I am trying to upgrade to general. My question is, when does the new question pool come out? Is it July 2010 or 2011? I have the ARRL general Q&A third edition, it doesn't say when it expires. It only states to start testing after July 1, 2007. (my AES book shows a new ARRL tech guide for 2010 to 2013, leading me to believe that in 2011 general will be redone.)

I would hate to study and have the test changed, If I really am running on a short time frame I am considering doing the only correct answer study method. (hints on where to obtain a free study guide would be a big help)

The General question pool expires in 2011, if my sources are correct. You've got enough time to pass. General is only a bit tougher than Tech.

General isn't too hard. Use the practice tests, and you'll be GTG.
