What's out there? I found two for my droid so far. One is the question pool which has been nice in helping me study for the General test while sitting places and the other is a call sign look up. |

I use the HamSatDroid app on my Droid daily. It is a simple, but great application. It has totally eliminated a need for me to use PC based sofware for tracting sats. Check out the screen shots http://sites.google.com/site/hamsatdroid/screenshots |

I'm using the Freq Finder app, so far I like it +1 Freq Finder and Local Freq have been the handiest two so far. Freq finder gets me local ham repeaters, Local Freq gets me the local public safety freqs. Both have paid off when I was stuck in traffic and looking for info. |

Quoted: My buddy showed me Echolink on his iPhone at the Orlando hamfest. We picked up his repeater and talked to his neighbor. Have to admit it was pretty cool. Wish I could do that with my Blackberry. Maybe I need to write an app for that. I talked to a guy in Wagga Wagga, Austrailia last weekend. Sitting on the patio outside my RV in San Antonio....on my Iphone over echolink. Very cool. |

I'm a measly iPod Touch owner. Sure wish they'd left the mic on it. Hell, the stupid thing has voice recording, why force you to do it through the headphone mic? I'm going to try a mic from Sparkfun and see how that works. Actually, I'll probably try it with the headphone mic first.
I read the Echolink FAQ and there aren't plans for the Crackberry but he's considering a Droid app. ETA: I just tried with my Touch and had a report of "great audio" using the stock headphones with the built-in mic. Only good for wi-fi spots but it's a step up. That means I can travel and use wi-fi in the hotel w/o having to fire up the laptop to get on the air. This is quite cool! |

The headphone mic is MUCH better than the stock mic on the iphone. I went with a bluetooth headset and have never looked back. I think the touch has bluetooth and that would work. |

I refuse to switch back to AT&T for the Iphone....Have the Ipod Touch as well so will have to play with that a little bit. |

I was (Palm Centro) and as soon I was able to upgrade I went with my Crackberry and found out that my 8330 is "the red headed step child" and slowly getting pushed out the door when it comes to Apps in the Crackberry world. Feel you pain on the Palm system.... |

Unfortunately my Motorola H500 apparently isn't compatible with the iPod so it isn't "discovered".
