I finally got off my rump this morning and passed the element 3 upgrade to General. The family is going on a road trip to Pappadeaux's to celebrate with some Cajun seafood! Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

finally, a thread where it's definitely not my fault. congrats! ar-jedi Thanks ar-jedi. As long as you don't post anymore of those nice pics of all your toys, it's not your fault, as far as I'm concerned..... But, you can't help yourself. You have a wee bit of a sadistic streak in you, I think. |

Congrats!!! Are we a cool bunch or what? All those other weenies want to be just like us when they grow up! ETA, it's STILL AR-Jedi's fault! Thanks AFM. Now I need a HF radio and I know you're a fan of the IC-718. I've been re-reading some of the recent posts you and others have made re: this. |

Congrats on the upgrade. If it hadn't been for AR-Jedi posting all his wisdom and encouragement I don't know what he will do. Yeah my suggestion is buy all the rig you can afford do not cut corners to save a few bucks. later on you will wish you had bought more radio. Right now with Icom discontinuing a few rigs. You might want to look at what discounts are given. Don't worry about it being discontinued as parts will be around a long time. There are more radios made now than in the 50s and 60s and those radios are still going. I have a receiver that was made in the mid 40s to early 50s that is still kicking. I have never regretted buying my 746Pro. I enjoy 6 meter more than anything when the band is open and when it is not there is plenty on HF. The 2meter part is an extra plus for me and hope to do some contesting once I get the antennas up and find a good amp. |
