Are there any Ham or CB radios that can monitor FRS/GRMS frequencies?

Most modern UHF capable HTs, Mobile and Bases can receive and or scan them.

Ham answer above.

CB radios are on 26.965 to 27.405 and there are none that will receive on the UHF band which is around 463.00 Megahertz where gmrs and frs is IIRC.

So if I decide to get a Yaesu 8800 for my jeep I would be able to hear FRS/GMRS? Also would I be able to transmit on those Freqs or just scan?

amateur radios are not type accepted for FRS/GRMS service. for FRS you can only have .5w and no removable antenna per the FCC. GRMS can have up to 50w i believe and can have a removable antenna but again, no ham radios are type accepted so it would be illegal per the FCC.

Hear Yes
Transmit no, not legally

Nearly all modern UHF ham radios can be easily modded to do the FRS/GMRS but that is a no no but YMMV.  Most of the hams I know do it.

Once the wife and I become hams I have never use my fleet of GMRS/FRS radios.

For what??? Ham.....I don't think so, the license requirement is set by international treaty. GMRS maybe, depends on if the FCC wants to give up a source of money even though most people don't bother to get a GMRS license.
