i found one of these on sale for 4 bucks and figured i'd give it a try for my vx-7r.

made by UTG <yes it's chinease but it's under 10.00>

the case is VERY well made for the price. my only complaint <not really> is the cheap vinyl lining that i have no doubt will split and come out with time <all the utg stuff has it>

snaps are tight and the velcro is heavy duty. the bugee strap is fuly adjustable and my vx-7 is tight and fully encased in the holster. by weaving only the lower 1/2 of the molle starps it also works well as a regular belt holster.

i got it from m1surplus. the sale is over but they are still cheap....

It looks like your radio is playing peek-a-boo!

If you decide you want a real one:

Linky

It is definitly over $10, but 100% US made and it won't drop your radio out as you run or rip when you least need it to.

That's even nicer than the Tactical Tailor 7.62/308 single mag pouch I've been using.  It does cost a bit more though.

3 times the price.

there is NO way the radio will slip out the side elastic supports the radio in the pouch and the velcor and snap enclosure is actually pretty well made on this rig.

thats a nice pouch if you plan and crawling through the muck, for most i think either will be a fine choice.
