Had a Cub Scout outing with the Dept. of Natural Resources giving the Scouts each a new rod/reel combo from Shakespeare.

As luck would have it during one of the fishing outings a Scout got crowded too close to the edge of the crowded dock and went in.

We retrieved the scout w/o rod & reel.

Fished out the rod/reel and noticed the reel was in pieces. The front came off (wasn't tightened properly when new?) and all but the release button was found.

Contacted Shakespear Customer Service and explained what happened. They said send it back and the'd find the right release or send a new unit.

One week later we recieve the reel with a new release button! Only cost a couple dollars to return...note: I did not ask them to pay shipping back to their location.

I just wanted to let people know about the great service from Shakespeare!

Nice to see companies that still give good service!
