I've read through the forum(including tacks), with so many hard/soft cover books, pdf's, etc, it blows my mind.

I'm looking for suggestions on a couple of survival books.  Maybe one I can keep in my bug-out-bag for reference when the time comes.  So, if you could have just two books, what would they be??

Thanks!

ETA;  To be more specific, more interested in SHTF-type survival, not necessarily wilderness.

PocketRef and SAS pocket guide.

Pocket Ref

SAS

The Pocket Ref is flat amazing.  I mean awesome.  It doesn't have "answers" but if you can form the question, it will give you the parts.  Need to transport a truck load of copper across the country in a truck?  Figure out the size of truck, weight of copper per volume, capacity of the truck, tires required, fuel usage by weight, etc...seriously cool.

Thanks!  Just ordered both.

I was really hoping this would result in more answers.  My 2 can't be the "right choice" there's always another choice that's better, someone speak up!

Ignore the fact that the OP already ordered, what other suggestions are there?

"Surivial Guns" by Mel Tappin. It is out of print, but a classic never the less.

That's too funny

Actually the two books you recommended have great info. and they are small to fit in my bag. I also picked up the Army Field Manual.
