So, this past week I finally went on my first hunt.  I was able to bring down this pretty nice pronghorn in N. NV using my AR chambered in 6.8spc.  This was a great time and I can't wait til the next hunt.  Here's a couple pics...

That's a great buck. I'm guessing maybe a little over 14 inches long?

So did you catch the hunting bug?

Thanks...it is a pretty nice one...alot of mass on him...a quick measurement by another person showed about 13 3/4", but after I get it back from my taxidermist I'll measure again to check their accuracy.

I absolutely have caught the hunting bug, but I think I had it before this hunt and just hadn't scratched it yet...I have a muley hunt coming up in Oct. and can't wait...

Awesome.  How far did you take it from?

Pretty close...probably about 100 yards or so...he was just standing around with his ladies waiting to be my dinner.  I saw him earlier in the day but passed then because there was a much bigger buck I had seen the day before while scouting that I wanted to try and find...heading to another area after giving up on the monster I saw this one again and decided to take him.  I am quite pleased with him.

Congrats - glad to see you were successful on your first hunt.
He's got a big body and neck on him!
Handload or factory round?

Thanks...he is very tasty too...
For now I am using factory loads...I'm saving up my brass and will start loading this caliber after awhile.  For this hunt and most of the time I use SSA 110gr.
