Picked out some flooring earlier last week, wasn’t the type we wanted but was recommended if we let house go cold for an extended time. LifeProof from the Depot. Now that I have one room down I wouldn’t recommend this shit… The wife decided half way through to run it the other direction…   Final layout The click lock system is fragile, especially if yer a diy never done it before.

The "click-lock" flooring that I've DIY'ed a couple of times had a learning curve. Once you figured out the dangle of the angle, it was pretty dang easy, but it took a little time to master it. If you haven't, you might watch a few Youtube vids to see if you pick up any helpful cheats. ETA: If you're still telling this story from past events, I guess the above "advise" probably isn't all that helpful! |

Yeh I’ve got it mostly figured out, more importantly I can’t handle it like wood tongue and groove. I am real time now… this was two days ago. |

Getting rafters to span that length was becoming increasingly expensive. I paid almost $48 a rafter on the 5:12 roof. Anything over 20 foot was $60-70 per. That and it was just me and wife when it came time to roof it. I’m too old to slide around on a steep roof. |

Very nice! impressive details! What's the house siding going to be? Are those girts for metal? What's the blue stuff running horizontally on the sides of the house? I always find construction in Alaska to be interesting. Has to be for the extreme climate. |

Sheathed and wrapped ready fer trusses by June 14. I ordered trusses first of May with a promised delivery around June 17. They finally arrived July 7th.     Decked and ready fer metal by July 12.  Metal finished today. Check out the Alaskan sled scaffolding  |
