So, I made a few bluebird/tree swallow nest boxes.  I'm out doing the usual rural landowner things and see that one box has a nice bluebird couple, the other, a lovely pair of tree swallows.  Today?  FSA sparrows are trying to kill eggs and move in.

Besides a lawn chair/20 gauge, what are my sparrow control options?

I've got a case of those Winchester AA low noise/recoil 8's and a turkey choke ready for tomorrow.  Expecting sparrow dust.

House sparrows will kill bluebirds and take over nesting boxes. House sparrows are considered invasive species.

I used a sparrow trap last year after they started randomly picking apart my tomato plants.  It worked great, I ended up catching around 80 sparrows in about a month.
