There is a localish guy selling Fallow Deer. I need the hive opinion on the meat. I do eat venison (whitetail) but some preliminary research shows they are bloodier than a whitetail.

Fallow deer are delicious! I had a chance to have some at a game ranch some years back, it was great. Have not hunted them, though. Very tender, great taste.

Fallow Deer are pretty good. Axis Deer is by far the best tasting member of the deer family with Moose a close second.

still trying to decide on buying one. they are ~$100 for a doe, then I have to process.
