| I put a solid wood floor in mine also. I then put a layer of 1/8" plywood over that without fastening it. I use straw bedding. The "false floor" can be easily changed out if it gets soaked protecting the main floor. I also use poop boards under the roosts so the poop/urine is limited from getting down on the floor. The fountain does get the floor wet but not too bad. So far after 2 years it's working well. YMMV |
