In MN we have had a lot of rain, i have done my best going out and trying to keep standing water to a minimal but this summer it rains once or twice a week and there is standing water everywhere. Has anyone used a Mosquito Magnet, or anything like that? I have done some spray around the yard but it's like the damn things feed off it. I have mosquitos biting 24 hours a day. I have 5 acres but it doesn't need to cover all that, I would like just my garden to be covered as i like to work in there after work but the bugs are very bad i don't spend much time there.

any help or ideas would be great.

thank you.

this probably rates up there with Red Green but I saw a home made mosquito killer.  The person put a small fan blade behind a fluorescent light and there was a tray of soapy water in front of the light and fan blade.  the mosquito would go to the light and get sucked to the pan of soapy water and die.  they emptied every day. It looked dorky but it worked.  I use to have a bug zapper 20 yrs ago and there would be a 8 inch pile of dead mosquitos every morning but they were just as prevalent as if i did nothing during the day.so now i buy large quantities of Repel.  I live in WI at the mosquito capitol of WI.  sorry i wasn't more helpful

Some of the more industrial mosquito magnets will work, the ones which use propane to create C.O. have a good success rate.

The one pictured here is what the company I work for purchased.  It does a good job, as well as can be expected.  In Alaska trying to win a battle with mosquitos is futile, at least this keeps them out of the entry ways.

I feel your pain, seriously. I had one of those propane setups years ago and it did thin the herd. It would actually pull them to the area it was placed. I would still be using it, but it crapped out, and I returned it. I have a thermo cell that I take with me to the garden and yard, but these little bastards are tenacious.
