After a couple of weeks of rough storms my potatoes are almost all laying down. Some have stood back up on the hotter days, but most are laying all over the place. They were a good 3-4 feet high when they were standing. There are some dead leaves, but other than that they are still green. I'm guessing this is ok? They're katadin potatoes and are supposed to be ready in around 90 days so I've got another month to go on them.

mine fell over and I just let them keep growing. They have done fine and it didn't effect them in any way. My potatoes have turned out fine.

3-4' high?  Are you hilling them?  Seems pretty tall to me.  We never leave more than 1-2' exposed without hilling.

They will be fine. You can do a test dig to see what shape they are in but unless the vines are dying off they are still good to go. Like what was said above, check and make sure you don't have any exposed taters. If so, dump some soil or straw on them.

Yeah they're all hilled up. My fence is 2 ft. high and they were easily a foot over that.

It's time for them to fall over.
