| Well this is my first post in this forum. My wife and I planted a nectarine and a peach tree in our back yard two years ago. This year they have fruit on the branches but I noticed raised blisters ranging from green to purpilish red on the leaves. I looked it up on the internet and found out that it is the disease called leaf curl. The internet said that once the symptoms show up there is no spray/chemical that will counteract this disease. I was told to thin out the fruit, add nitrogen and excessive watering to help relieve the stress on the tree. The internet did say in fall when the tree(s) lose 90% of their leaves there is a chemical that will help keep leaf curl from returning the next year. Can any of you tell me what they have done in this instance. Our nectarine tree has it the worst with the peach not too bad...Help! |
