Does anyone have any experience with Emergency Essentials Superpails? I’m thinking about ordering some of their black bean, red bean, and white rice Superpails. I’m not worried about the beans but I’m a little concerned about the rice. I’ve read that bugs in the rice can be a problem when storing it long term. I was just wondering if anyone has had any issues or if they are gtg.

I believe they are sealed in mylar with O2 absorbers and then put in pails according to them they are, HOWEVER why not do this yourself and save a bunch of money that you can spend on more preps? you are looking at $50 for rice not including shipping. Go to sams club/cosco and buy a 50 lb bag of rice for 25bucks, go to HD and get buckets and lids for abotu 2.50 per, get some mylar bags and O2 absorbers and package your own. you will get 2-5 gallon buckets out of one back of rice, total cost for each bucket (per our experience) is about $15-25bucks per bucket. Plus you have gain the knowledge of how to do it, know how it is packed and stored and you can store whatever you want. I'm not bagging on Emergency Essentials (they get most of my prep business) but this is something that you can do yourself. My buddy and I did about 25 buckets of rice, beans, oats, salt and sugar in about 2 hours so it is not very time consuming. Just my 2 cents J- |
