I have some Wornick "Mil-Spec" (civilian market) MREs that I bought years ago. The seller claimed they were 2002 production.
I cracked one open to take a look today, and I don't see anything like a 2002 date code... all of the 4 digit codes suggest a 2001 date maybe? Can someone who knows Wornick codes take a look and let me know what I have?

| The #6211 is not part of the date of pack but a USDA establishment code. It signifies the plant where the product was made. The second line numbers are probably the date of pack production code but it does not conform to any code system I'm used to. You'll need to contact Wornick to "crack" the code. |
