Just recently I started composting on a tiny basis but there's gnats in the compost.  Is that normal?   The compost is in a Rubbermaind container (30-35 gallon capacity) with several large holes on the upper part of the container.  Lid is kept on.  Compost is just over two weeks old and have been turned twice already.  What say you compost gurus?

Leave fruit and veggies lying around for a time and you are going to get bugs.  That is pretty much something you are going to have to put up with.
