OK I ask the hive mind, what to do with figs. The neighbors tree is absolutely loaded and she wants to give me all I can take. but need ideas. all help appreciated. |

1. Cut bottom of fig so they sit flat on a baking sheet.
2. Cut a slit in the middle of the fig. 3. Stuff a small piece of blue cheese in the slit. 4. Wrap each fig in a thinly sliced piece of prochiutto (cut the prochiutto in 1/2 length wise to fit fig) 5. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes until prochiutto crisps. 6. Remove from baking sheet and place on plate. Drizzle with honey. Easy and great appetizer. The different flavors are really a treat. |

+1 for fig preserves. Yummy. I don't know how to make them, sorry. But my Grandmother (Granny), God rest her soul, used to make them. You can probably google it. Hmmm... Now that sounds like something I'd like to try.. Might have to put a net over the tree to keep the birds out.. |
