the leaves on my squash plants are being completely eaten away.  i found a small bug that looked similar to a ladybug but was black with yellow spots.  any ideas?

Sevin is the cure-all for squash and potatoes.  You can try a mild solution of Safer's soap if you want to go less "chemical" at first. (not that soap isn't a chemical...it is) After that you pretty much have to go to the dusts or sprays or hand picking them.  



Not a good answer I know.  



If you an get a pic of the bugs somebody here can probably ID them for you.
