then i took them outside slowly i thought 2-3 hours a day for 4-5 days then i put them in the garden AND NOW!!!! they are all dying leafs are turning tan then the stems are falling over and they have stopped growing PLEASE HELP |

I don't think 2-3 hrs a day is enough to harden them, especially coming from a grow light situation. I leave the stuff I'm going to transplant out on my deck 24-7 for a couple of weeks. Could be shock, could be too much or too little water. Maybe you got a frost and didn't know it. Could be a lot of things. |
|
Can you please post pics of the plants?
While it sounds like shock, it could be many things... How cold is it getting at night? It it is getting below 50 at night, cover them. Below 40 can kill them. Heck, even mid 50s is not good for new/fresh plants. Did you over water? Did you wanter enough? |

Did they slowly start to turn yellow? If so, hit them with some fish emulsion and they should green up in a couple of days. Otherwise, make sure they get a good, solid watering every couple of days and prevent the soil from getting completely dry, else they'll die from shock/lack of water.
Mine yellowed up a little their second week outside, the fish emulsion helped a lot. |

You're in freakin' Nebraska. I'm in Kentucky, and I don't have my tomatoes out yet. Some people do, but we watch the night-time temps really closely. Kitties Kitties is right, in Ky we had some awesome weather a few weeks ago and against my better judgement i wasted many nice tomato plants. Lately they have turned yellow in the tops and i'm hearing that is from too much water,i think i can see that |
