My SFG is being overrun by aphids.  I have seen where they say to use a strong blast of water to rinse them off the leaves, and I did that about a week ago.  I went back out today and they're EVERYWHERE.

There's some ladybugs roaming around but they're not doing anything.

Is there anything more, uh, permanent, that I can do to these suckers?

soapy water will kill them, it won't be a long term solution but if you go back regularly it will do the job.

Malithion........... One shot may still not be one kill. You can fart around with other methods but it's better to bite the bullet once.

I tried a dish soap, vegetable oil and garlic combination tonight. I'll check on it tomorrow night and see if there's any progress.

little bastards hide on the underside of the leaves when you spray. So pay attention to that.

Gotta spray from the bottom up.
