I'm going to purchase some Mylar bags to store food, but how thick should they be?

The Sorbent site lists 5 and 7 mil as food, grade, but most places only seem to carry them in 4 mil.

Will 4 mil be sufficient?

Thanks for the reply!

I'm putting eveything in buckets, and I would prefer to use 5 or 7 mil, I just haven't been able to find them. I called Sorbent Systems today, but only got voicemail. I wanted to see what they had in stock, I hate doing business without talking to a person. The LDS website says that they don't ship for 6-8 weeks. I would really like to get some now. Are there any other places that carry 5 or 7 mil in stock?

I just went through the whole Mylar bag search myself. Sorbent is the only place I remember seeing that had thicker than 4 mil. I decided on the 4 mil from Waltonfeed.
